Hawthorn Community House

Hawthorn Community House provides social, educational and recreational activities for the wider community in a welcoming and inclusive environment. We support a strong local community by providing opportunities for people to learn, share skills, meet new people and support each other.

As we become increasingly aware of the impact of loneliness and social isolation on our health and wellbeing, neighbourhood houses like Hawthorn Community House provide an environment for people to get involved, establish new connections and feel a sense of belonging.

Hawthorn Community House is managed by Access Health and Community, who have been providing healthcare to vulnerable members of the community for 150 years.

We receive funding from the City of Boroondara and the Federal and State Governments. We also partner with a number of community organisations and local businesses.

We are a not-for-profit organisation, and a registered NDIS provider.

We operate across two sites at 32 Henry Street and upstairs at 584 Glenferrie Rd in Hawthorn.
